The penalty for not having any, or not having the correct size of number plate is now up to £1000 fine. It wasn't that long ago I received a £30 fine for not having any number plate, which was a small price to pay compared to the speeding fines I would have got...

I was nicked again 3 weeks ago this time in Sussex, with the same plate on the same bike, it was a bike that pulled me this time because I had a the small plate on & for no other reason & again I received a £100 fine so paid it.
