Rear wheel changing shenanigans
« on: December 15, 2014, 09:10:49 PM »

Does anyone know how the race teams change the rear wheels so quickly???? Ive tried to refit my rear on the gen 1 and it took ages as the brake caliper kept falling off.......is there some kind of mod that they use to keep it in place?

Any images or links to said device would be bloody amazing  [pray]

they have quick release assemblies build in, a proper one like febur make will set you back about 5k. There are other little things you can do to help that are cheaper, such as captive spacers, captive caliper bracket, fronts need wide track yokes spindle and wheel hub so the calipers are clear of the rim so the bottom of the stantion can just rotate clear.

Changing the rear on my 2013 zx10r
Was a pain in the arse
So I bought a caliper retainer thingy
From reactive parts!
It works a treat.
