hi newby here from doncaster with a new zx10 for track days

hello I have got my self the new shape zx10 for the track can ppl recommend any suspension settings as the bike is standard and never done any tracks days yet so its all new to me ?

Iv got me experience with the Generation 4 but that is such an open ended question, with so many variables it may be better to get a professional set up before or when you go on a track day.

yer I no it was a kinda daft question but was after a base set up that will improve it instead of it being in standard settings

The front Showa BPF Forks are pretty good for Track use, however the rear OEM shock is shyte and overheats after 3-4 hard laps.

Best bet is to fit an after market rear from the likes of Maxton, K-Tech or Ohlins.

My preference would be the Mechatronix Ohlins with plugs directly in to the standard Kwak ECU and controls the rebound and compression for you based on speed and gyro sensor feedback.

They can be had for just under a Grand.
