Well there's gonna be another video update on Wednesday and the bike is due to be unveiled at the Intermot bike show at the beginning of October. It's allegedly a supersport machine which means it's a major update for either the ZX6R or ZX10R if the current Kawasaki range is anything to go by, or there's the potential it could be something completely different.  :dontknow:

Just read a piece on MCN which reckons it could be a replacement for the ZZR1400 using a supercharged 1000cc engine which was shown at bike shows last year. Guess we'll find out for sure in a few weeks.

If it is indeed the supercharged 1000cc motor I wonder who'll be the first the try and shoe-horn one into a ZX10R chassis  :tongue3:

The next 'video' just has audio of the engine going through the gears with some chirping noises. A pretty big indication that this is the supercharged bike they've been talking about.

Bike manufacturers obviously need to find new ways to increase power and efficiency whilst still keeping control over things like emissions and a supercharger is one way of doing so. I can see in years to come more of this sort of thing becoming the norm as technology advances with the likes of 3D printing making certain parts much easier and cheaper to manufacture.

The thought of a supercharged 750cc bike, with the weight and dimensions of a 600 and 1000cc beating performance does sound pretty good to me though.  B-)

There was something in Bugsplat that said the cases looked similar to a 600.......  Hopefully there will be something to see at the NEC.  I do miss my 10  :-(

Anyone think the image released today has a very 'Panigale' rear?
