« on: June 07, 2014, 11:05:21 AM »

Hi guys anyone had any probs with the gear indicator on 2011 onwards 10? Mine goes nuts and doesn't even display 4th and 5th! Any ideas where to start?

I believe that the ZX10R uses a multi pin neutral switch, i.e. there is a separate pin for each gear and obviously one for neutral although I haven't removed mine to check.  As this is the easiest place to start, I would remove the neutral switch and check it all looks OK and no damage to the wires.  If there is a separate output for each pin, test continuity.  If the problem is not there it will either be in the wiring loom or in the speedo console itself which is going to be harder to troubleshoot
