Goodbye Ducati hello zx10.

Been a member on here for seven years now so figured it,s about time I tried one. Picked it up 2day. 2011 JBF model which is destined to be my new track toy.  Any tips on getting it ready for the track very gratefully received, in particular with a view to exhaust. I,d prefer to fit a full system but think it may be to noisy, if I end up putting a slip on system which is best for keeping those DB,s down. Cheers for now! :icon_thumright:

Ohhhhhhh i just done a sex wee! Sexy bike mate.

A full system would sound nice but like you say, noise regs at most circuits are pretty tight nowadays. Worst case you could get a end can with a removable baffle for quiet days if a full system is too loud

mc101 is probably the man to speak to about track prep as he races at a very very good level. (His team won the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship with Hudson Kennaugh) Hes a nice fella too so well worth a message  :icon_thumright:

i think mark hill has done some work on exhausts for these comparing full stems with him and came to the conclusion that standard headers with a lonk and straight through end can produces virtually the same horses but with less noise. When I just bought my race bike I had the choise of std/MHP or full leo vince or full arrow system but plumped for the std/MHP route to reduce the chances of having noise issues.

My ex tom skykes zorst measured 104 at oulton so had a baffle made by mhp

I'm sure what what happened regarding the testing as lee v bike was kicking out 206bhp with a mhp end can but then when the proper mapping was done only kicked out 190 so not sure I'd rely too much on there testing
