That's ok, my missus tells me @ 8.30pm on the 30th April that the TAX has run out on her car.

So I tell her to do it online and she'll be covered, all she needs is the MOT certificate.

She comes back and tells me that it ran out Feb 23rd 2007 

We've done about 6,000 miles with no MOT

Your not alone, i get atleast 1 mot a week thats atleast 1 month out. The worst one was 5 months out 8 months out of tax and still regestered to the garage i work at from when he bought it 18 months previous

I heard a rumour last year that as from this year they would be checking up on MOT's the same as tax, as with the computerised versions all up and running they now have the capability to do this - anyone else heard anything about it?

Not a dickie but then it has enabled the online taxing thing which is a positive, might be quite good if they posted reminders out but then I'm sure Mr Brown will try to get it back in taxes..
