Sato Clippon Warning
« on: May 16, 2007, 05:46:44 PM »

Hi Guys,

I thought i would share this with you.

Ok so i bought some sato clippons from flea bay a while ago.

I got round to fitting them the other day.  so while i was doing a bit of work on the bike sunday, i decided to check around her for general stuff.

when i got to the Sato Clippons, i noticed that 1 of the allen Keys was loose, so i sarted to tighten it and before any pressure or tightness achieved, it snapped.........

So now i have replaced the whole clippons and they must have been damaged in some way at some time or other.

Lesson to be learned........  1 watch what we buy on flea bay and 2 things as important as a clippon should be bought through the proper channels for reasons like this.

not heard of this happening anywhere else, but then again i aint been looking, also Sato is usually top kit. :icon_thumright:

no mate, turns out they are discontinued etc etc.

the seller will only say they where fine when he had them, so dont think its worth wasting my time.

1. Riding position

2. lighter

3 look the bollocks

just feel a lot better than oe mate, if you get a fully adjustable sett, you can get them to feel real nice, also i get pains in my rists on a long ride, these help me a lot. :occasion14:

must admit that I fancy some adjustable ones for my next mod to get a bit of weight of my wrists but we'll see  :icon_thumright:
