Yeah I know I had the blade all of 5mins, but it just didn't fit, so I sold it and bought a road bike to convert to track myself,
So here is what I picked up on Friday
Shes just been run in, and in mint condition, a perfect candidate for a race bike.
I spent Saturday taking all the road kit off the bike, boxed it all up so it doesn't get damaged.
then did a list of all the parts i'm gonna need/ want etc.
1st job,
re route the rectifier cables so that they reach the new bracket by the water pump, there are 2 ways of doing this, the easiest option is to lengthen the cable, but rather than cutting cables and soldering them, my self and Allan split the cables out of the main loom and re routed then under the throttle bodies.
this was probably the hardest job to and seemed to take ages to do
Now we have the airbox off, before putting it back on, it made sense to do all the small wiring mods and cable routing etc.
so next step was the pair valve removal as this wont be needed for a race bike
So first of, remove the sensor and hoses from the ram air tube
Now that is out, it makes for a perfect place to relocate the fuse box rather than inside the fairing.
Inside the ram air tube is a large valve that works with the pair valve, as this is no longer needed, that came out too to help get more air into the airbox
Next up
Pair valve, again, only there for emissions, and needs to blanked for Dyno work anyway, so ordered some blanking plates and a resistor so we don't get any fault lights, blanked off the vacuum hose to the throttle bodies as this is now redundant
picked some more parts today that also need to be fitted before the airbox can be fitted back on, and waiting for some other bits in the post.
Before i can fit the Bazzaz unit, it makes sense to make some room in the battery tray for it,
So, out with the exhaust servo, and then fit a servo buddy so no nasty warning lights appear
