Zx10r race bike build.... the sequel
LeeV:
Sorry its been s long since the last update chaps, I've been flat out busy with work commitments and sorting out the new workshop and spray booth for a new business venture next year.
The exhaust system is now finished and ready for me to collect.
Mark has done a fantastic job with this, he made 3 different silencer lengths to test the DB level, 350mm, 380mm and 420mm the one pictured below is a 380mm silencer and works at about 102db without a baffle.
The headers have been modified to give more midrange from 6k to 9k, we tested these on the same dyno at MSS with a full arrow system and he's managed to pretty much match the performance and torque of the full system.
So next the bike will be going to HM racing for the full mapping to be done, K-tech front for cartridges and set up and that will be it till the new year when I can carry on with the bolt on parts that i'm waiting for then do the paint work in the new booth.
Thanks for the interest in the project chaps

Spot on that Lee!
What paint job did U finally settle on?
LeeV:
ah, well I've taken ideas from loads of different race reps to make my own, but as the bike has been with Mark for 2 months, I've not had any chance to start it yet.
so you'll have to wait and see after xmas when I move into my new unit
