Zx10r race bike build.... the sequel
LeeV:
cheers matey, I know it not a realistic figure, and we are not finished with the system yet.
the main objective is to cure the flat spot that you can see between 6-8k rpm.
we have been testing some different configurations and think we have found some thing that cures it. the results will be clearer on the next dyno run
LeeV:
A bit more testing done now chaps.
we tested the same header set up, but added different lengths to the secondary lengths and link pipe
we've now cleaned the torque curve up, and its filled the void between 6k and 8K where the power and torque dropped off with the standard set up.
So now when it hits 6K it progresses much better into the curve rather than loosing it.
I have the dyno sheets in PDF Format but I don't have the software to change them into a different file type to upload.
Also the dyno was set on a DIN correction and we changed that to SAE to see if the figures would drop much, but they didn't.
In the last test we just touched 206BHP, and when we changed that to SAE correction, it still hit 201. and 86 ft lb torque

Sounds good Lee, Is that on a stock motor?
LeeV:
yes matey, sure is a stocker
Telboye:
That's cool Lee. Mine made 198.4 on a Dynojet 250i Dyno with about 1000 miles on it.
