Everyone ready for friday?
« on: May 14, 2007, 07:41:21 PM »

Thought it was about time for a Mallory thread [rofl] Threads seem a bit thin on the ground lately :dontknow:

Is everyone ready for friday then? I know some are coming up/down on thursday,so are you still rushing to get things done or are you sitting twiddling your thumbs waiting?

Ive done everything now apart from putting new fluid through my front brakes, which will be done tomorrow night.

Done forget both parts of your licence and your bike key if your not riding there :icon_thumleft:

Couldnt resist that mish

No fuel at the circuit but i'm sure you will pass a station on your way. The Db limit is 105Db, which is a full noise day. Mallory is a ACU test circuit so the noise is not an issue in the week. Signing on is between 07:45 and 08:20, so you need to be there for that time. If you have got your ittinary forms, then its best to fill in the form and take that with you as it saves filling one out when you are in the que for signing on.

Fuel station is a 5 min ride from the track.

Just changed the front sproket and the brake fluid, have to fit the R&Gs tommoroz. Oh yeah, regreased the gear lever pivot cos Kawasaki build em practically dry, makes a noticeable difference to shifting

Yeah the shift lever is shite on these bikes. Before i fitted different rearsets i had to keep it properly lubed else it would stick sometimes. Its a good tip for everyone running standard rearsets. :icon_thumright:

Down 1 tooth on the front Andy?

Im running 14/42 on mine

Yep just -1 on the front, as i have to use it on the road as well.  Just pump the fluid through (bleed) until it comes out clean at the nipple and it looks clean in the m/c resevoir

Ok well I'm ready(ish) - new set of plugs going in tomorrow before work may just bleed the brakes as well, no fancy changing of sprockets here as I shall be running on std issue ratios, road tyres which should just make it through thte day with the return journey (he hopes).

Now plan has changed and stopping at nearby guesthouse on Thursday night so I can have decent sleep and decent brekkie after that it's try best to ignore nerves and have some fun.  ;-)
