Hi mate thanks for the help, mine has a highline crack between 5 and 3 about the size of your picture, think i'll get it welded like you said even if i get a replacement.
I see the r&g one on ebay and nearly bought it but its misleading this is only a cover which goes over the original.

Are you sure nrc don't do them for the 04/05 they used to i cracked the cover on the other side in a crash and got an nrc to replace that and remember when I was looking for that they also had the clutch casing

They do the cover thats in front of the clutch what ever that one is but not the clutch cover...
some top man on this very website has offered me a spare he has at a good price so thanks to him hopefully i'll be sorted.  just goes to show great website :)
