road bike chat - pushbikes
« on: March 01, 2013, 07:08:47 PM »

Well,

a new one for me, I've decided to have a go at this road bike riding malarkey and bloody hell you can cover some miles on those things ........

Anyhow the idea is to help my fitness for my mountain biking as i can jump straight on and ride and don't have to wash a ton of mud off every time i ride

So far just one ride, 36 miles today, and all was good

Here's what I have bought

Do you guys ride this arse numbing things ?

oooh,I like the look of that Andy.  kinda gone the whole hog with mine, I've got myself a Giant TCR advanced 1 with full dura ace  setup.  I've opted for a set of Enve 65 wheels as my "bezzy" set. absolutely lovin' it. I usually manage to stick between 100-150 miles a week on it.

Bitten by the cycling bug also, have a Pinarello full carbon, if your serious get a bike fit done, transforms the bike so all power is put through the pedals, if you haven't got it, download Strava, works with most phones, tracks where you have been and records max/average speed. I have lost 6kg already.

I've seen you fellas out on a Sunday on your super duper carbon bikes  :tongue3:

I'm still a fan of the old Reynolds 531 steel bikes and like to ride out with the local club on a Sunday  :icon_thumleft: Easy ride section of course  :-S
