Pay and display is the annoying thing, how they expect you to SECURELY put a display ticket on a bike is beyond me.

You cant, just keep the ticket in your pocket and if you get a fine just send a photocopy of the ticket to the council/whoever collects the fine and you wont have to pay the fine.

Bit of a pointless waste of time really isn't it, probably costs them more to process your fine & cancellation that the fines actually worth in the end. Free parking for bikes would solve the problem and would actually help as it would encourage people on to bikes with the resulting traffic improvements, unfortunately the carparks are usually local authority controlled who are only interested in generating money with no pressure from the Gov who's transport policy can be nonsense at the best of times. Ho-hum!
