The bathtub test.

During a visit to the asylum a man asked the director "how do you determine whether a patient should be institutionalized ?"

"Well" said the director, "we fill a bathtub with water and give them a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket and ask them to empty it."

"Oh, I understand" said the man, "a normal person will use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the cup".

"No", said the director, "a normal person would pull out the plug. Do you want a bed next to the window ?"
