what camera should i get?
« on: January 13, 2013, 09:53:17 PM »

Im looking for a tank mounted camera for my bike but i cant seem to get one that does all i want and doesnt break.
Had 2 cheapo bullet cams that died coz of vibrations.
One sony camera that broke due to vibrations.
3 cheapo hd cameras that had good video quality but were hard to mount so the picture didnt vibrate.
Now ive got one that i can charge while i ride and can just about mount it so it doesnt vibrate too bad but picture is average.
Any ideas?

agree about good footage but slightly bulky imo. i like the idea of bullet cams with a lead to a camera under the seat hump. but they are about 200 for a no namer

I use Drift HD170 Stealth camera, absolutely love it!  The latest Drift camera's are much smaller too.

Contour are another good make, but pricey.  :glasses9:

I use the Veho hd10. Really good piece of kit with awsome video quality, hardly any vibration and a good mic that doesn't pick up too much wind noise, and is available on a certain auction site for less than the RRP.

Heres a link to the veho equipment: http://www.veho-uk.com/main/shop.aspx?category=CAMMUVIHD

Where do people mount them? Id like one for the tank so it can see through screen and the clocks

I got a gopro on a proper tank mount http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tank-Camera-GPS-Radar-GoPro-Mount-Kawasaki-Ninja-ZX9R-ZX10R-ZX-9R-10R-ZX1000R-/261153493307?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item3ccdf6113b, it is awesome, if you want to see the picture quality/view pm me your email address and i will send you a link to the file, I will not up load my vids for obvious reasons plus you lose picture quality on uploaded stuff.
