« on: January 08, 2013, 06:04:21 PM »

right here goes im nearly done now on my modification and i would just like to say before anyone else does i know it looks fecking stupid and it shouldn't be allowed but i can see it being very practical for my yearly touring trip so hear we are

so i got an old seat stipped the leather and foam off, worked out were i wanted to mount the givi plate then brought some nylon collars from ebay cut them to size to raise the front.
i mounted the plate to see if it was ok and were it needed to be then once happy cut the foam to the same thickness as the collars and handed it over to my brother to re trim.

then mounted the plate

so here it is

so there it is ive fitted a slice of thin rubber to the seat mount at the back just to make it a little more snug on the subframe, all i need to do now is get some very thin penny washers to take up the slack on the front mounts then its load it up and take it for a spin.

so im ready for the abuse now try to be nice  :emb:
