Just thumbed through MCN and read that MCE insurance are now insuring bikes with any modifications at no extra cost on the premium.
YEA RIGHT I thought so I've just put a quote through as a standard bike and with the following mods.... P. Commander, Can, race rep Paintwork, Quick shifter and braided hoses and it came up with the same quote both times.
Must be a catch though.

You'll be shafted if they change their minds.......Or maybe they accept many riders are riding with mods they don't disclose. I think alot of riders ride with mods accepting they will recieve standard price payouts in the event of a claim - however complications will arise when mods are discovered and insurers void their cover. Will be an interesting one to watch.

If you've declared all the mods, and not told any lies, and they quote you then sorted. I have insured though MCE for the last two years, no one could anywhere near them premium wise.

The only problems I can see is that you declare your mods this year, then next year the decide to charge for them, or they try to attribute the blame for an accident to your mods..
