cheers, the tight left hand hairpin in the middle section i was too hot into it and missed the apex by a long way and had to run out way wide

Thats a bloody good lap on a standard bike, I would be well chuffed with that, and as you point out, traffic, damp, missing apex'es there's definately a bit of time to find there.

I thought if I can get below 2.10 ( 2.12 in 2011 but ran out of talent and ended up in hospital ) on my standard 2005 I would be content, but you have given me good reason not to worry about any expensive upgrades for a while yet and have proven 05s can still do it in the right hands.

Well thanks thats nice to hear. the bike has brake upgrade that is crutial for a fast lap as without good brakes you cant have confidence to push the limits of the bike.
Standard brakes are rubbish and i recon mine give me extra 2 seconds.
This year im getting suspension upgrade and a proper engine map. plus the bikes been on a diet so i would dearly love a 2:00 lap
