Hi all, born again biker alert!
« on: May 08, 2007, 01:59:05 AM »

Well nearly... After a 28 year gap, I bought a VFR800 last September (far too heavy) then got a black 06 10R with 1600 miles on the clock. I'm still finding my way with her, still blown away by the shear grunt and exhilaration of riding such a monster machine although I did manage to get the front up at 80 on Sunday morning for the first time... by mistake.

I've fitted a few goodies so far, R&G protectors all round, Evotech tail tidy, Pyramid hugger, PIAA Extreme white bulbs, Acumen Cat 21 alarm and pager, Acumen brake light modulator, Kawasaki smoke bubble screen, Stomp grip pads and a pair of modified straight through stock exhaust cans.

I'm a forum junkie being one of the admin for this site: http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/upload/ so expect to see me around a bit...  :headbang:

Cool, this seems like a friendly place!  :-P

Jon,

You'll regret asking that mate...  Yeah, my 33 pops the odd flame now and again when she's being worked hard on track. She's quite well known in the Jap car 'scene', made 547bhp at the hubs so around 600ish at the fly, 189.4mph when Redline hired Bruntingthorpe. Got to say though, the 10 makes her feel not exactly slow but not as quick as I used to think... The 10 is around a second quicker to 100, well, in the right hands.

Here's an in car vid at the final of Time Attack at Donington last year where I fluffed the hot lap but gives you a little idea... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYrWeCqjXSg
