Save the environment ?
« on: November 07, 2012, 01:23:26 PM »

Lifted from "bikeclubfrance" site....

Yes folks, we have yet another idiotic and unworkable idea, and this time by the Mayor of Paris, Bertrand Delanoe.

It was announced yesterday that he wants to ban all vehicles from Paris which are more than 10 years old, especially motorcycles, in a bid to reduce pollution.

What's he going to do?? put barriers and control points on all the roads into Paris?; cause huge traffic jams with local concentrated pollution in the suburbs?; increase the gendarmerie to enforce it?; force everyone to buy new vehicles to save Citroen and Peugeot?; get motorcyclists off the road?;,

What the f@@k is wrong with these "save the environment SHEEP" ? Just because they are told by governments, who incidentally have done brilliantly creating a "green business" by scare mongering, that the internal combustion engine is the root cause of, nearly, all that has happened to the environment we get fuckin nutters like this. A documentary a few years back stated that EVERYTHING mankind on a whole did, produced about 4% of what goes into the atmosphere. So even if we ALL stopped using our evil engines the reduction in gas would be completely negligible.   [wall]

Europe seams to be declaring war on the motorcycle atm and i can only hope the uk doesnt adopt the same rules that europe (perticularly france and germany) already have

Agree with that, but my main point is the fact that absolutely EVERYTHING mankind does around the world, not just use an internal combustion engine, amounted to 4% of what goes into the atmosphere. So, even though there are millions of vehicles around of the world, these emmission reductions from engines are completely negligible.  [wall]

The world has heated up and cooled down for millions of years before we all started to "ruin" it, and if the "greenies" are deluded enough, and stupid enough to listen to the "green business owners (politicians)", and think they can do anything significant about it, fuck only knows what planet they're wired to.

Why don't they do something constructive, and achievable, and look into all the forestry that is being cut down and all the over fishing being done ?

Its laughable, government should be encouraging the use of bikes and scooters to aid congestion and emissions , manufacturers could do a lot more in this country to advertise (TV add for a bike or scooter ?? why not?) they should try and create a better image for bikes and scooters so people see them as a cool form of transport. Another idea would be to restrict people younger than 21 driving a car ( unless circumstances dictate otherwise) make them able to ride a motorcycle or scooter from 17, this way a lot of people moving into cars after 21 would know a lot more about road conditions, looking out for bikes etc etc.
I agree that most of the global warming is government money making , this planet has had climate change many times (they had vineyards here in the middle ages). trouble is that no one does anything, we all complain into our pint yet nothing gets done, most people are more interested in the latest Eastenders/Coronation street plot than whats happening around them. People should not be afraid of their government , governments should be afraid of their people . . . . . sadly this is not the case .

The biggest threat to global warming is the ever increasing global population. It's controversial to say it, but there is a limit to how many people this planet can sustain, and we need some way of decreasing the global population.

That can also be linked to what I was suggesting could be "looked into".
Deforestation can be linked to the increasing global population and even, more so, over fishing the oceans.
Apart from the increasing global population having an effect on forests being lost, so does the "crops" they grow in their place for alternative fuels. Completely pointless imo.

Personally i think it's just Government officials, jumping on anything that remotely might sound like they are doing something good, without them really understanding that subject, just so they hope they are being seen to be doing something worthwhile to justify their own big fat wages.

They've got to jump on everything, the "horse has bolted" !

They created this multi billion pound business and can't be seen, or heard, saying they were wrong to do so, even though a lot of people are now questioning it, including "in the know" scientists. A lot of emails and reports have been blocked recently because they contradict what the governments tell us.

Looks about right to me. I would add an arrow between "Governments" and "You" with the link "feed bullshit".   :cussing: :cussing:

The world is full of bullshit with the sole aim of extracting money from us mere mortals. Its like the recycling thing. The energy needed to recycle is more damaging than dumping it in a landfill. I'm sure that if we back-filled our disused mines with our rubbish, through decomposition, we could harness some energy.
I'm very cynical about them ever finding a cure for cancer, because theres so many jobs, charities etc based around it, and the amount of money that is given in finding a cure, i feel that if they did find one, they wouldn't tell us because suddenly the funding would cease and the industry would reduce to just one or two companies making the cure.

Slightly off topic, but along your lines of thinkin AND one of your previous replies, there was a theory 20 odd yrs ago re. the aids epidemic that even if they found a cure they wouldn't use it so that aids would "naturally" reduce the worlds population.  :icon_scratch:

Like you say, cures for illnesses, global warming and ALL, just a massive conspiracy.

Yea, it has always been rumoured that it was a man-made disease. Now, they can target diseases at people who match a certain criteria genetically, so they could unlease a virus which only targets people with blonde hair and green eyes. Its a scary world, can't wait to move to my own little hideaway.
