Jimmy Savile ?
« on: October 13, 2012, 05:38:41 PM »

In no way do I condone anything he MIGHT have done, and I emphasize might, but how can allegations be proven or otherwise when the person the allegations are being made against can't defend himself. I am, well, old enough to remember him from the late 60's / early 70's and although he always seemed a bit "weird" that doesn't prove anything.

Is it just me or does this whole thing stink of "I fancy some compensation" ?

If allegations were made at the time and ignored, someone needs needs a "right royal fu@&ing". If no allegations made, why wait 40 yrs ?

While I'm NOT sayin nothing happened, I can't for the life of me see how a case can be brought when the "defendant" can't defend himself and therefore how can compensation be awarded.

When will these Jimmy Saville allegations ever end?

Police are now saying that Jeremy Beadle may have had a small hand in it.

:iamwithstupid:   but i think the BBC will be held responsible for any compo, and so any one who see him or got near him will see pound signs and want some of the compo money ....and that makes it hard for the real victims in this to loose any substance in there claims .

it may take years to go over every case and sort out the real cases from the money makers with false claims .

How, in the real world, can they bring a "case" ?

There is no one to answer the questions, the defendant is dead. They could have enquiries, but a court case. Another waste of my, and your, money !  [wall]
