New Chain & Sprocket set
« on: August 26, 2012, 11:45:56 AM »

Time to get a new chain & sprockets.... Planning on going for DID Gold X-Ring chain, and Renthal sprockets.

Any other recommendations? Anything I should know if I decide to change the teeth? Thought of keeping the front as it is, but adding on the rear sprocket.

Great chance to convert to 520 (lighter, less power loss through drivetrain) Renthal sprockets -1 front defo, poss +2 rear, depending what you want - top speed, mpg or acceleration/drive (track).  Tsubaki top of the range X ring chain, same as McG & co use.  That's what's been on mine for last 2000 miles &  half a dozen track days, with no signs of wear. :headbang:

Tsubaki are probably the best mainstream chain maker now, B+C Express sell them, they used to do DID but there were a few publicised failures with DID.

McG is a riding god, not a make of chain.  :tongue3:
