Sorry for hijacking the thread

I totally agree with the comfort comments. Any chance of seeing a couple of pics of the comfort mods? May save me selling the bugger ;)

John Mcguiness uses wide flat bars at the TT.. he has done for years and guess what...the new Gen 4 ZX10R....has wider flater bars.

I made my own gel seat from a gel mat that goes between a horses saddle and its back ( you'll see mats on ebay )..but heres a good tip if you dont want to make or buy a new seat.. buy pedal cyclist shorts...most have a padded insert right were your sitting bones are and if you get good ones they really work...i wear a thin padded boxer short type and a thicker padded bib and brace type over the top of those..by the way did you notice the comments by Toby Moody when Cal Crutchlow crashed recently and tore his leathers... that he was wearing cycling shorts underneath his leathers..

comfort is no joke...

ive seen the seat stripped down on my GEN 3 and your sitting on 2 N shapped plastic rails...go any distance  even if your a light weight ....eventually your gonna suffer.!!

I bought valmoto jack up plates for the standard rear-sets and  i put them on the opposite sides so they dropped the footrests about an inch.. a little bit extra leg room..easier on the knees.

I also fitted lust racing dog bones just another way of raising the back.. and the bike drops into the corner quicker making its easier to get over and hold a line...you feel the bike is working more with you.

I found by making a few non radical mods to this bike that combined theyve made me want to keep it..and my interest in buying something else has dwindled down to next to nothing..

Making the bike easier to ride and be more comfortable on is my goal...

And these goals are NOTHING to do with a view to just slow riding !!!.. on bike comfort is a priority for racers to !!!!

Ok well after advertising the bike for less than anyone else and paying for the privilege I've had a grand total of NO phone calls/e-mails/enquiries. Not even from timewaster offering me a swap for some crap chav mobile !!!!

So I've ordered some adjustable clip ons and I'll see where we go from there but suffice to say I'll be keeping the 10 after all.....
