Yeh I hear it quite alot, I think theres alot of bad feedback because OE qualifers (like on 10R's I believe) are made in japan and made to a manufacturers spec which is harder rubber! Off the shelf qualifiers are reckognised to be a good tyre... as far as journo's go.
But my mate had them on a gixxer 750 and push's a bike harder than most and he rated them so I tried them and much more confidence in dry and wet with better wear compared to the 014's I had. On it's side you notice most of the difference.
Bridgestone's are a very neutral tyre where as Dunlops (and Michelins) are pointier so turn in different with bigger side wall.
Each to their own I guess but I want to try the Qualifier RR next
