Got banned in 1995 (morning after on way to work).
 If I am in the car will have a pint, but if out on the bike will have J20 or maybe a shandy.
 Like a good binge  but if I feel rough the next morning will not drive or get the bike out.
 On the 'liking the taste' Mostly drink real ale, some I like the taste of some I dont so I wont have them again...... Lager hate Stella (although the new Stella Black is ok) but love Kronenbourg, rerely drink cider but tried a bottle of that Stella Cidre yesterday evening and it was dangerously likeable

I dont drink when drive/ride. Fizzy or council pop only.

I never drink alcohol before driving or riding, even if your under the limit if you are involved in any sort of accident it could go against you, been out yesterday with a Polish guy who had to have lager when we stopped for coffee ! I usually drink Special brew when at home, must be cold though, not sure if I do it for the taste or the effect, must be the effect as I cant taste or remember anything after the 2nd can

i too have felt the weight of the law on the drink drive issue but for good reason , when i first past me test(many moons ago ) i got done for being a knob  anyhow it was the fookin jolt i needed before i or somebody else ended up on a slab 
As G says when beered up your ability deminishes and your confidence peaks its not a good flavour to have on a crotch rocket 
Yes i do like a beer the taste is fine but on a run its not really needed , so pop or tea now and i think as i get older my mentality changes, as ive got so many kids now im too fooked and havent got enough time to get pissed

Just tea or mineral water when riding or driving for me, I dont really drink much alcohol anyway. If I do I quite enjoy some real ale.

No alcohol for me either. If i'm driving before midday the next day, I won't have any the night before. Theres nothing big or clever about drinking and driving/riding.

I personally don't drink much, a pint of cider with dinner. I know its hard to believe because I'm polish but that's the truth. But when I go to Poland and meet with my friends its a completely different story...
but when I drive/ ride then .... and some of you might not agree,but then I might have a pint with lunch or dinner.

It's not about the taste, it's for the effect as others have mentioned i don't see the point in only having one or two. Tea is the best tasting drink hands down and it's won us two world wars

I like a beer, mainly lager or ales or the odd Magners. Not the night before i ride though. if i stop at my local on teh home after a ride out i will have a weak shandy.

I tend to drink more in the winter.
