Disc lock bastard

left the bloody front disc lock on, wheeled the bike slowly forward, clunk..just enough to crack my brand new carbon front guard... grrrr I'm always forgetting 'bout the bloody disc lock. anyone else done that or is it just me?

been there, done that... [wall]  knew there was a reason it comes with the wire connecting to the handlebars, handy reminder...

I always stick mine on the rear disc for that very reason, then all that  happens if you do forget is a clunk as it hits the rear caliper (first gen model anyway)

Never damaged a bike doing it, but yeah I've done it before!  Ever since I had the 10 though I use the handle bar chord and it has helped to prevent it a couple of times so worth its weight in gold  :icon_thumleft:

in hindsight i have always use the cord so that is probably why i have never done it.

Did it once and had to lay the bike down!  :cry:
now leave it safe and sound in the garage collecting dust! Bloody things!!!

Did it to my sons immaculate ZX6r, went to move it out of my way so I could get my 10 out and crunch, cracked the front fender  :cry:

I've done while pulling away, then an abrupt stop followed by an ungainly fall to the right  :lol: That was on a Honda VF1000FE, bloody heavy thing.
