Back from the Isle of Man.
« on: June 12, 2012, 12:09:27 AM »

Seven days at Douglas, Isle of Man was enough for me........Rain and rain and pubs full of blokes, its was a gay blokes dream!!!  Seriously the racing that took place was breath taking as it always is but this year I had a bit of involvement which made things more interesting. A guy who stays in my accomodation does the timing board for Guy Martin, usually at the Gooseneck. I joined him this year and got permission to go into a prohibited area and signal to him at Rhencullen, a cracking place to view from, fast and very close - as the riders appear over the crest at Rhencullen they have barely settled before tipping into the right hander - Micheal Dunlop every lap came over the top sideways every time with his feet flayling off the pegs - heart stopping every time. It was nice to get some feeling of involvement in the ride, Guy looking and nodding each time as he clocked his position and plus and minus data, really enjoyed it. Such a pity the Senior was cancelled due to dampness. With racing delayed on several days Douglas soon ran out of appeal. Trekked up to Ramsey for the sprint and what load of shite that was!!!  Over all though the racing that took place was top and worth the trip. Continued support for Guy Martin. That elusive TT win will come, I know it!

Sounds mega that does. We're thinking of going next year.
What a great oppurtunity toy had recieved to help with the timing board, and for Guy Martin.
Good to read post this morning, have a BHP for that.  :icon_thumright:
