We're flying out to Spain again next weekend, still looking to buy a property to run as a biker friendly B&B/Campsite with a biker cafe/workshop(similar to Dom's/Quatt/Squires). What type of places do you stay in when you're over there, what do you get/pay, and what would you like your perfect Spanish biker holiday accomodation to be like, to help us decide how to model our business.

Thats our plan. We want to create the sort of place 'we' would like to stay at. Secure parking, good hearty food, bike wash area, i'm a mechanic, so onsite maintenance and breakdown/accident recovery, guided tours of the best roads if required, comfortable beds etc, etc, plus being able to help with the language should you have any problems.

Right, I'm just going to give you my version of what I'd like in a place like this:

Central location to at least 3 different biking areas (e.g. mountains roads/twistes/long open sweepers) so we've a choice each morning of what type of roads we want to hit that day.
The option to throw in a fiver each and have a BBQ cooked up for us on a given night.
An honour bar (saves always carrying cash around with me, just let us mark it down & settle up at the end) Beers must always be chilled! Can't stress that enough.  :icon_thumleft:
Guided tours, leader must be up to skill level of group, no point 5 sportsbikes looking for a fast pace blast being led out by a Royal Enfield or something
Decent internet connection so we can stay connected with the world.
Chilled beers, did I mention that?
A massive bonus would be cheap transport to/from the local pubs/clubs etc.
Comfy furniture outside to sit around and chill out in the setting sun after a good day in the saddle drinking a chilled beer, smelling the BBQ cooking up a storm.  :icon_thumright:

I've been doing Spain for over 20 yrs now and we only do hotels now as we tend to ride light ie minimal. Also depending on where we are and mainly how hot it is then we usually go for aircon rooms as it doesn't really cost that much more. This year it's Bilbao down to Segovia and round Madrid via the walled cities, down to Salou for a birthday and back via the length of the Pyrennees to Santander. A tent is a bit too much hassle for me these days but best of luck if you take the plunge :headbang: :headbang:

Thanks for the comments. The place we feel is best suited towards what we want is about 35miles from the nearest motorway using roads similar to Snakes Pass. Its about 90 mins away from Andalucia's lakes, and 2 hours away from the circuit at Almeria which does track days. There are 3 double guest bedrooms, but at the moment, they all share one bathroom. We'd offer either an evening BBQ or homemade pizzas. Its too remote for taxis, but we should be able to take you to one of the towns nearby if you can resist my cooking, but the villa is quite remote.

The camping would be an option for those who want it. Either pre-erected tents, or their own.

We plan to have a few bikes so we can guide anyone around. I've got the 10r, my girlfriend has a Raptor 1000, and we're looking at getting a couple of Hornets to use and hire out for those who want to fly out and ride around for a day or so. Obviously, whilst you don't want a bonneville leading race bikes, you also don't want a 10r leading a group of bonnevilles.

What would the going rate be for such a place?

We have just got back to the uk as zrx put a con-rod out. Not good. But we was paying about 85 euro per night just for the room and then if you wanted breakfast another 8euro and sometime more. Go on get your place and let us come for a week. If anyone as an zrx 1200r engine hanging about pm me please.
