What next.
« on: December 23, 2012, 07:37:24 PM »

Since the demise of my ZX10 (I know the new owner will have back on the road in the new year - it was quite an easy fix) I just do not know what to replace it with.  Another 10, if so a Gen4, or a Z1000, or even a Tuono V4/V2.  My BMW dealer tried to get me to buy a GS, but I resisted.  I have even looked at a KTM, and if so the new Adventure or the SMT, or wait for the new Super Duke.

If I ever part with my d7f, the only other thing which I'd like is an RSV4 Factory, but I wish they had a nice colour scheme.

The new '10 is phenominal both on road and track - one of those or the Aprilia -reliability says the '10.

1000RR ?

Thought about one of those, but don't fancy having 3 BMWs in the garage.

Rsv4 vote here, 10r will be quicker round the track but the v4 will give a much more rewarding riding experience on the road , the ktm gets the bid if you want a v twin

Yep rsv4 vote here as well if I had the money for a new bike it would be between the new zx10 or the rsv4 and I think the zx10 is the better bike in nearly every area but I also know I would end up with the aprilia

I was on about reliability and servicing more than anything hasn't the aprilia had a lot of gearbox issues? But as I said I would get the aprilia love the styling and I had an old rsv mille and used to love it.
I also think that all the bikes now are that good you can buy the one you like the color of and not be dissapointed

Nah the Aprilia gearbox is pretty rugged , the BMW chews its gearbox. Most of the reliability issues of the priler have been electrical sensors

1st gen RSV4's aren't subject to this.  [whistle]

For what its worth, I'd go with the RSV4. What a machine and was voted best 1000cc sports bike last year in most of the mags.
Failing that the mighty BM RR

Lovely looking bike. Bit pricey though, though not as much as the 4.
