new front tyre

hi guys had new front tyre today , riding back from the tyre place front end felt shit cos of the shiney shit on it , can i use some 800 wet n dry to scuff it up abit or is that a no no ,  :dontknow:

ive heard contact cleaner can help but please dont hold me to that until you have checked cause i may be wrong or have the wrong product

I always rub em hard Ooer  :tongue3: with thinners and a clean rag, but make sure it's not white spirit or petrol  :shock: or you'll be on your arse

They don't use release agent anymore so wiping it is a waste of time - you need to physically wear the surface.

As said before just get out and ride the thing. Tyre manufacturers say 100 miles. Not such a hardship

People used to wipe it off?? mind=blown. Never ever felt the need to, just ride like a pussy first 10 miles, a little faster the next 10, go with the traffic till 30, start overtaking till 40, then by 50 im back to knee down, im sure they only say 100 to cover their ass.

he asked me what i wanted in it and told him 36 as thats what i have in the front, so just put up with it for few miles then yeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaa.  :headbang:

If you haven't already, I would double check the pressures F & R. I've had the wrong pressure in tyres from the garage before now

the old tyre was pilot power pure 2ct
and the new one is just
pilot power 2ct //  no pure on it.
