reguardless of legality would you trust it?

brakes are too important to have the posibility of it failing imo

Compression fittings if assembled correctly are relieable and are of no more chance of failing than the crimped hose fittings you have on your brake lines right now.

I'm in the oil and gas industry and they are on every single offshore platform and on every single terminal running at far higher pressures than brake hoses run at so in response to your question yes i would trust them

thats the key "if assembled correctly" compression fittings are far too open to human error, manufactored brake lines will either be right or wrong and thats it (and most quality control and manufacturer testing will find any defective ones) but with compression fittings you cant guarentee its done right every time and someone hasnt touched them when the bike is out of your sight

bit of googling and seams like brakes run around 1000psi and some aftermarket lines are rated to 18000psi (which is a bit ott maybe) but if you are going to do it id certainly be looking for fittings rated to 5000psi min to be on the safe side

Don't fuck about with brakes - my lines are direct from Goodridge with those fittings on them BUT they fabricated, tested and WARRANTED them.

I had alloy goodridge compression fittings on my GSXR, all made up by Goodridge and bike never saw winter, rear line let go as the nut section split open, Goodridge replaced the whole lot with no questions with stainless inc banjo bolts, they even replaced clutch hose free of charge.
