Dont have any problems covering big distances with my bike, but would'nt take a rucksack, a decent tailpack is far more comfier for longer rides. When you get to some of those great twisty french roads you'll be glad you took the 10  :headbang:

I've been over to France on my first gen 10, no problem at all :headbang:

stick with tankbag and tail pack, after a time a rucksack will feel like its full of bricks

Enjoy....

Haven't toured on the 10 yet but in 2010 I rode to Italy and back on my 954 Blade, had been warned not to bring a backpack and am glad I listened. I did over 1200kms in one day and the only reason I stopped was I was getting sleepy. I literally only brought a tailpack and jammed everything I needed into it or strapped stuff to it and I got away with almost 2 weeks.

Some people said "Oh you'll need 10 times that storage" etc. but when I hit the twisties on a litre sportsbike with sfa luggage to move around and spoil the balance, I knew I'd made the right choice!  :icon_thumright:

This is the stuff we need, lots of nice pics of bikes abroad, helps get us through this last part of winter and gives inspiration to others  :headbang:

I bought a spare pillion seat from a racer, removed the foam and bolted on a Givi connector plate and a top box from an outlet. Dead ugly but easy to use, water proof and never a scratch. I've been using it for two trips to Wheeltrax and am planning a Dolomittes tour this summer.

I have always used baglux tank harness and 35ltr bag beautiful fit and dead secure a bit pricey tho. This year I am also going for a ventura system but with only the 35ltr bag this is so the wife does'nt have to carry a back pack :emb:

I just put that anti slip webbing that you can buy from DIY shops cheaply under the magnetic tank bag/tailpack around the straps and it does the job perfectly. Then you can easily remove it when you want the luggage off  :icon_thumright:

why not drop a thread for each location in the rideout section

I'll ask G to rename the section to make it clear and then off we go

Let's see how that goes initially , if we make everything 'sticky' the first page can become a blocker sort of thing but I'll certainly do what it takes fella's
