« on: November 26, 2011, 01:56:06 PM »

Trying to remove the cat from the headers on the 06 zx10 however all the bolts are wrecked two have snapped which isn't a problem as they can be sorted when the cats off thinking I'm going to have to remove the headers from the bike to get at it properly what's the correct way of removing the radiator to get at the headers

Fairing off, undo the top and bottom radiator bolts and then take off the header nuts from there.
You may lose some skin but it's generally easier than trying to bleed the airlocks out of the system.
The problem with the bolts is that they are normal tensile steel not stainless and corrode more because of the electrolytic reaction than because of road salt.
Get some heat on them with oil and it's normally enough to get them out.

When I fitted my decat link pipe I had to remove the headers, but I didn't need to touch the radiator! My bolts were so seized I had to grind the nuts off the old link pipe to get them apart.
