Garage alarm???
« on: November 25, 2011, 02:11:48 PM »

Guys
I'm looking for a budget, stand-alone remote control "noise maker" should anyone try to get into my garage in the meantime before I get my fully integrated alarm system linked to the house.  I'm looking at something like the Xena XA201 Garage Alarm with remote control or something similar.  Anyone on here have any suggestions?

Have a look at Screwfix - they have modular ones.

This is my current intruder system, cheap and works every time.....

Intruder activates squeaky gate and security light which alerts large barking dog.
Large barking dog alerts owner.
Owner is activated and proceeds to garage with unfeasably large hands, cricket bat and large barking dog.  :boxing:

Sorry bud, not taking the piss. Noisy dog has worked for me for years though, never fails.   :headbang:

Got mine from Wickes a couple of years ago, cheap but still working fine at the mo and its switched on most of the time, I just test it once a month.
You can also buy additional PIRs, remotes and door sensors. Would recommend it to anyone.

I like it - would have loved to have disturbed the toe rags that knicked my R1 years ago :violent1:

Will camp out in the garage until the house alarm is sorted
