from 800cc to 1000cc in motogp.
« on: November 10, 2011, 04:43:34 PM »

When they change engine capacity from 990 to 800 they said that its because of safety issues etc. (safety..ha!) even on 125 you could brake your neck.
Bringing back 1000cc bikes will bring more excitement in racing maybe not as much tyre spinning we gonna see like before because of electronic packages etc.Its good to see litre bikes back on the grid next year in motogp.

tbh i think the CC is irelevant the main thing moto GP need is more bikes and a narrower gap between the bikes abilitys, ducati havent had a prayr this year suzuki were finally getting it right by the end of the year kinda only left honda and yamaha to battle it out and imo the honda was by far the better bike the streight line speed of it (as demonstrated by stoners on the line overtake of spies) sure lorenzo took the fight to them in a few (very few) races but i reckon he had to ride the wheels of the thing to do it

hopefully the 1000cc will level the playing field with no 1 perticular make having a large advantage over the other and with any luck some of the crt bikes will be up there in the mix

True honda was dam fast not only in straight line.
And because of new regulations we get more bikes and teams ready to race in gp races.
They say that 1000 is cheaper then 800 so what was the point of changing engine capacity??

exactly that, its cheaper allows more teams to enter as costs are lower and with CRT allows more manufacturers to get involved as most makes have a 1000cc engine of some description - i believe kawasaki, bmw and aprilla have engines going into CRT bikes and maybe more
