Bought a B1H ZX6R, the shame of it.....
« on: October 21, 2011, 07:43:45 PM »

I bought myself a mint ZX6R 636 B1H today. The traverstyis that I have bought it to use as a winter bike. It is in MINT condition, 8K on the clock and wnats for nothing-other than an owner that will diligently rinse it with fresh water after exposure to road salt. I have had two of these bikes before, a road and track bike, they are great. It will be the sacraficial lamb to keep my '09 ZX6R salt free and keep me on two wheels. I shall love it just the same though  :love9:
One small concern which I have run with is this; with the engine running in neutral  there is a slight rattle/vibration when the clutch is pulled in. It goes away as soon as the clutch is let out and there is no slippage of the clutch under power. Anyone know what this might be?

How biazarre this purchase has been. I am having more fun on the road on this bike than I have had in years. It has more low down power and midrange than my '09 ZX6 and I can use more of the bike than I could when running a ZX10 on the road. As yet I don't have a steering damper so the B roads are quite lively. The induction roar on these bikes is great, having  hoot on it and will keep it up all the way through but for worst parts of winter. Keeping it pristine will be a constant chore but have done all I can for now, greased linkages, done the ACF50 thing, just need to keep on top of it, its a scream. And it will keep my hand in until next track season. I think the B1H has been the best 600 to date, lovin it.

Great supersport bike.....

I did a similar thing the start of the year, sold my zx10r, brought a factory Millie, sold that after 6 wks, brought a 2005 C1H zx6r...........The best fun i have had on a bike since i rode a 350lc in my youth.
As you say you can use a 600 ( well 636 ) to its full and use all the gears etc.
Dont get me wrong, i loved my 05 zx10r but it was tooooo fast for the road and a liability
if i am honest.
