tbh that may do more harm then good as i dont think 10mins is enough to get the oil fully up to temp and around the engine, are they fuel injection or carb?

if FI i would just plug a battery conditioner in to keep that primed and leave it if its carbs then put a conditioner on it again and run it to change the fuel thats in the foat bowls every now and then but i would also change the oil before using it full time again

You need to run it hot enough for the fans to kick in. Otherwise it will just form condensation. Your oil will turn to yoghurt and water will sit in the exhaust. Other methods are throw some cheap oil in it and chuck a bit of 3 in 1 oil down the plug holes.

If its carbs then make damn sure you turn the tap off BEFORE and let it die - this will stop the float valves gumming up as the fuel evaporates and flooding it.

thanks guys the trackbike is a old 1992 zxr750 with carbs and my zx10r is a 2006 fi.
got no electric up at the lockup where i keep the bikes so is it ok to take the battery's off them for say a week at a time to charge them.
so i will need to run the carb bike long anuf for the fan to come on and turn the fuel off and let the engine stop on its own, (out of fuel).
