What's wrong with riding it there? I frequently ride from Southampton to Edinburgh. Takes 6 hours, plus breaks.

Enterprise rent a van - easier than a specialist transport .
Couls try a freight company - I know PSG2 runs one BUT it'd mean palletising the bike.
Also "England to near Edinburgh" - What PART of England....... several hundred miles difference possible there....

Try Slater's Bikes:

http://www.slatersbikes.co.uk/index.asp?page=transport&menu=transport&menuParent=transport&menuGrandParent=&option=&debug=clear

Nige Slater is a top bloke and has always done a good job moving mine from London -> Stoke/Cirencester for European trackdays.
