HOTTRAX ???????????
« on: September 21, 2011, 07:13:15 PM »

Just heard a rumour about Hottrax Trackdays going belly up.  Companies House showing 'In Liquidation'. Anyone know anything?

I didn't know that - I know that the majority of their days have been sold/given to No Limits and that Hottrax were supposed to be going 100% into the Endurance racing series they've been doing the last couple of years.

Makes sense as the Hottrax Motorsport Company are still trading. Maybe it's just a tax thing? Hopefully.

They are winding up their UK TD operations and focusing on racing and Euro trackdays as I understand it.

Received this email over the weekend - quite sure a load on here also got it too!

Hottrax Trackdays have pulled out of the UK Track Day business from October 2011 and closed
Hottrax Ltd. This does not affect our European Events or our Race Club at Hottrax Motorsport. All
of our European Events and Race Meetings will now be run under Hottrax Motorsport Racing Club
Ltd!

We have one event left this year with a track day group and that is Snetterton on 28th October.
This runs along side our test day and is just before our final round at Snetterton.

We have found that this year we cannot compete with other TDO's on price. We took pride in the
quality or our UK events but have seen that this is not enough in these days of rising fuel costs,
vat, circuit hire and insurance.

Hottrax  will be acting as an agent for No Limits Track Days who we highly recommend. Any
vouchers or credits you may have with Hottrax Ltd are perfectly safe and can be used on our
European Events or Test Days or on No Limits Track Days as long as they are booked through us
at Hottrax Motorsport before the end of 2012.

The www.hottrax.co.uk web site has been migrated to www.hottrax-online.com as part of our
restructuring. Our email addresses have changed as well, please send any new mail to
info@hottrax-online.com. Any email sent to an address @hottrax.co.uk will be unread.

We hope this does not cause you too many issues and that you can update your bookmarks and
settings accordingly.

The racing web site is still at www.hottrax-motorsport.co.uk

Many thanks for everyone support in the past and good luck with your track days in the future and
by the way we still have 12 places left on our Track Event at Cartagena in November.
Check it out at www.hottrax-online.com

Dave and Karen Mabbutt

Best Regards

Yep, I got the same. I spoke to their main man at their stand at Cadwell BSB. I'd heard the rumours at that time so I asked him up front. He said there were plenty of rumours about but stated there was not room on the UK track scene to keep filling track days whilst there ever increasing price increases at circuits which have not yet been passed onto the riders ( :tongue2:) so they were consolidating their business into foriegn track days and their own race series and he was keen to stress that Hottrax were happily bouyant. Perhaps any liquidation relates to the UK track day side of thinks, sensible to keep each interest seperate so one doesn't pull another down. Thats what I am led to believe is happening. What struck me as odd as most trackdays I have been on this year have been filled to capacity. :dontknow:
