any helmet painters on ere
« on: September 06, 2011, 11:10:34 AM »

been at the manx GP the last week and bought meself a new lid while i was there

wore it for 2 days and then happened (read searched for 20mins) to meet this fella

anyway the git drew all over my new lid with a permenant marker

so any helmet painters know a lacquer i can use that will protect it but not react with permenant marker my plan is to lacquer (or more likely get someone who knows what they are doing to lacquer it) and then put venture shield over the top of that so its safe, but until i do that i cant wear the dam thing incase i rub it off or something, or anyone else got any ideas of what to do with it

that is my plan with the venture shield i mentioned in my OP just as that has to be put on with soapy water and if it gets damaged and i want to change it il lay money itl pull half the sig off with it so i want it lacquered first, i think ive figured the pen that was used as we got a pic signed and my uncle got a pic of him signing it

which im hoping is one of these

so if i can get one i can test it on a spare old lid
