Ah good, i have a red car and it has started to fade in places, basically is there anything i can do to slow the process or is it just a case of cut, polish and wax every now and again?   :occasion14:

Pretty much mate yeah, get yourself a good cutting polish like g3 and give that a go it may come back if your lucky it really depends how far its gone. Do you no if its straight gloss red or red basecoat and clearcoat?

Yep.I'm a painter, usually it will be a solid red as opposed to a clear over base. As said , you best off with some Farecla G3
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FARECLA-CAR-GARAGE-BODYSHOP-G3-ADVANCED-LIQUID-COMPOUND-/250814288918?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Car_Care_Cleaning&hash=item3a65b25416#ht_1650wt_1199
and a proper polisher, you could do it by hand but it wont be as good.Do a panel at a time and use a spray bottle with water to keep the surface damp. After you have cut it back with the G3 wash it all off and you can stop it happening by keeping it waxed, sometimes its a losing battle though, just depends how far its gone  :icon_thumright:

Yeh, pretty much what they said. Keep it wet while youre polishing, G3 is good but I find the G6 is better. At a guess I'd say you have a Vauxhall of some sort? They seem to be very prone to it.

Cheers chaps, that's just the info i needed.  It's not bad at all at the moment, just appearing in a few places, but thought i'd nip it in the bud before it does get bad.  Have some ponies.   :occasion14:
