Gilles chain adjuster help/advice

Hi there just ordered a pair of gilles chain adjusters from calsport and i see they can be fitted with a bracket or drill and tap swingarm just wondering which road anyone went with them i see on search function there is a good few who have them fitted but not which way you guys/gals went  :icon_thumleft: :icon_thumleft:

Cheers i did come across your pic earlier but didnt realise it that that was the bracket looks sturdy enough ill give the brackets a whirl i think cheers Lee  :occasion14:

With the bracket and bolted in the original adjuster they are quite sturdy fella

With the bracket and bolted in the original adjuster they are quite sturdy fella

Cheers did you use the bolt supplied with kit to hold the adjuster on at front where the original adjuster threads into as i see some people use the orignal adjuster bolt and some use the domed allen key nut cheers

The ones I had on my '05 were just fitted with the brackets. I didnt fancy drilling the swingarm. They were fine.

Just fitted mine and only word of caution would be the bracket and locknut do not need to be very tight just 5 nm of torque which is probably about screwdriver tight, otherwise the rear ie inside beacket distorts.

i think when i was fitting mine i remember in the destuction's drilling the swing arm was for only if you were gonna lift the bike with them on a paddock stand...could be wrong, but mine are fitted the same as everyone else's who's posted on here and never had any problems  :icon_thumright:
