2006 Handle Bar Vibes
« on: July 11, 2011, 08:10:30 AM »

Hi guys, recently bought a 2005 zx10r and the first thing i noticed is the vibes coming through the bars - I have been told some GSXR bar ends will do the trick is this true?

Thanks

Have these been packaged wrong or should there be something else with them?

hi mate i had same problem i was sent the same ones as you, didnt bother sending them back just had a mate to cut the old bar end down so just the threaded part was left then fitted it to the new one with the bolt supplied with the new one. the only diff with your old ones and mine is that mine didnt have the hole on ready in it so my mate drilled it out then tapped a thread in side for the new bolt to screw into. you could just put a lock nut on yours to hold them together after you cut it down.

almost forgot as the new one has the recess on it you will need a washer or the bar end will push on the grip not a prob on the left (clutch) side but on the right it will stop your thottle from turning without a washer...

In all fairness if a company is stating there product will fit a bike it should fit straight on, it says no where regarding any mods or changes needed for these to fit. I have just opened an account with BikeIt (i work for Harley so i thought i would open an account to get them cheaper lol) and i have taken this up with my local BikeIt rep to see whats what. I here something about lead shots as well? whats all that about?

Thanks
