« on: July 10, 2011, 07:08:47 PM »

161 miles on one tank and the fuel light still isnt on!!!!!

I have been on a charity ride around north Wales and as such ive been riding steadily with very little hard acceleration.

Last time that happen to me was when the reg/rec failed and my battery was low, I spluttered to a stop (out of fuel and no fuel light) and the bike would not turn over, I had to get someone to bring me a jerry can of petrol, and I bumped the bike and limped home.

On the recent trip back from Dover, I had to stop on the M40 as thought my fuel light had broken  [rofl]

I was shifting at times, but when I stopped, I had clocked 136 and still not made reserves, only put 12 liters back in the tank

awesome  :headbang:

147 miles to fuel warning light, another 10 miles to petrol station. Filled up with 15.66 litres fuel. Seems to average around 10 miles per litre "normal" riding, but I've been closer to 50mpg riding "quietly"

Normal riding I usually see around 110 to 120, yesterday I managed 64 miles, but then I was at Snetterton :)
