Thats my Gixxer in the picture (K4 600). I was fortunate to not have to sell one to finance the other. I'm still deciding on what to do with it. However at the moment, I can't bear to part with here. She's been fab really and never let me down. Comfortable too...I did a ride to tip of Scotland on her last year and was fab!
So far, having just commuted on the new beast, I have to say I am genuinely gob smacked at what a brilliant bike the zx10 is. Its got oodles of low range power, a screaming top end (however I have to admit defeat and say I shit myself at about 10'ooo rpm and throttle off....I'm convinced it's gonna flip...LOL) and very nimble. The fear of this "beast" bike is gone, and now just have massive respect for what the bike is and what it stands for.
It sounds fantastic too with the Akra's. Went through town last night and everyone turned there head. I was only doing 35..lol!
So all in all, I am massively impressed and glad I went with my heart. I've yet to ride to hard, I'm gonna do this once I've got more accustomed to the bike. Don't fancy throwing 8k down the road...or the drain! Oh, and once payday has come I'll throw some new rubber on it too.
