I want a track bike probably a 600....

don't really wanna spend too much on it.... but I don't want a best of a thing.... would love to get a 636 B1 or even any newish 600 will do...

but if its got to be old then a zx6r or an old R6

old gsxr's are to fat.... have no opinion on the early baby blade

all advice would be good..... where to source what to look out for how much to spend etc .....

I have had a 98 G1 as my second bike.. I would have one again but not for that price.....  :tongue3: I sold mine mint for 2000

I had the fiberglass fairings and an extra front track fairing for it. I was sad to see it go had some good times but had tomake room for the 10. Wife wouldn't let me keep 2 bikes. Can't complain she bought the 10for me. The zx6's have damn good engines.

glenn go to some local meetings n talk to the racers they`l point you in the  right direction

or see if you can get a stolen recovered one it gives you something todo over the winter


if any ones interested my cbr600 will be up for sale in july to pay for another foreign trackday :tongue3:

I had a SRAD600 ex-race bike for a couple of years as my track bike; it was a good piece of kit - fast, reliable and could keep up with most modern kit around Anglesey, Croft, Mallory. Andy doyou want to add your comments as a spectator on this?

Yes, Dave's bike sold for almost sod all from the guy who had it after him  :shock: it was a really nice and fast bike, I'd have a SRAD tomorrow if I hadsome spare cash for trackdays............  I rode on once at Brands for a few laps and enjoyed every minute.

How Dave. stop tempting me to get a track bike I'm skint fella  :crybaby2:
