As it says, thinking of a change, love the look of this bike. Need impressions from those who have ridden, own, have owned or who know lots about it. And if anyones got one for sale at the right price, especially someone who wants an 07 ZX10 in p/x.

Are you able to test-ride one? If so then go ride one then make YOUR own mind up. They're an excellent bike and have more character than a 10R, but they aren't to everyone's liking.
Try one and then if it steams your onions then get one. simple

That would be plan A but KTM dealers are a bit thin on the ground down this neck o' the woods. I love v twins and love the way the bike looks. Just looking for a few opinions really.

Think you're barking up the wrong lamp post asking on here, not saying the opinions here will be wrong but it is a ZX10R forum and most but not all of us have 10R's, although some members have had RC8's.  Maybe trot along to the KTM forum and see what they reckon, you might also find out some useful info on long-term ownership etc...do your homework.....or it's detention

Jamma,I'm with u m8,had my 06 for a few years now & fancy a change..
Had an early Mille previously & loved her but hanker after one of those weird Austrian tools
I seem to like something a little bit different,U should see my wife/sister!!!
Never been a cbr/gsxr lover,think my speed trip.,mille & barra prove that & the katoom continues the theme.
One guy on this forum did swap but it wasn't for him...can't remember who...     ,but it sure tickles my fancy  .

Hi mate went to fowlers bristol on sat got 10 plate rc8 s for 7999 on the road and rc8r for 10000 and the 11plates about 2 grand off and brand new r1s with 0% free akros 11999 on the road took me a while to get the misses off that anyway might help you got demo bikes as well

This lot had a stand at H's cafe in Dorchester last Sunday. ALl you need is both parts of your driving licence and you can have a test ride. They also deal in Kawasaki aswell so book a go on the new 10 whilst you are there.

Mates got a RC8

Been to the dealer 4 times in 1 year, And he only done 6000 miles.

Oil leak, Clutch rattle,No start

I wouldnt touch them till they sort these things out.

I think bond was the forum member who had loads of issues one of them being a cracked swingarm! the dealer was less than helpfull if i remember right. they need to sort there shit about before I would consider buying one. they do look nice though!
