Taking a passenger
« on: August 08, 2011, 08:03:09 PM »

Hi all, I'm taking the missus on the back of my 06' soon ( going on a long trip down south ) and i need some advice.

She has been on before but only a short trip, i am wondering if i need to be changing any suspension settings? mainly to help preserve the tyre.

Any suggestions thanks   B-)

3-5mm on the rear pre-load, job done. Maybe a couple of clicks on the compression too. t'will be fine.

Honestly, unless she is a fatty and you're doing hundreds of motorway miles then I wouldn't bother with the hassle of changing the rear preload.  I take my GF on the back of my bike all the time and leave the suspension setup as it is (setup for me by Steve Jordans Motorcycles), and it rides and handles fine.  I'd probably only notice if I was racing and who races 2 up anyway?!  ;-)
